An Astronaut’s Guide to Life on Earth – What Going to Space Taught Me About Ingenuity, Determination, and Being Prepared for Anything

Most know for its Space Oddity performance on board of the International Space Station, Chris Hadfield wrote this book in a format that resembles more a memoir than a guide. Reading it, nevertheless, was both very entertaining and educational. Having a special interest in Space Exploration and Aviation, I found it a very interesting read to learn of this astronaut’s experiences and the lessons he took from them.

I was very pleased that he detailed parts of his experiences as far as to cultural differences between his own, and the others he’s been in contact the most (Americans and specially Russians). These details not only helps the reader to enrich his knowledge about the various aspects of different cultures but to also learn of how to deal with them at work or on a personal level.

It is an inspiring piece, and I recommend it specially for those who have any interest or at least some curiosity around space exploration.
